i found the first tune in the papers of llewelyn alaw and later heard jason lawday play it. the last two tunes i learned from martin leamon and sille ilves, both of ystalyfera. i believe the originals were found in the nicolas bennet collection. martin and sille were the first to teach me a huge collection of welsh dance tunes when i first moved to wales.

ffeindais yr alaw cyntaf yn y tudalenau llewelyn alaw a wedyn clywais jason lawday chwarae'r tiwn. dysgodd martin leamon a sille ilves (ystylafera) y llaill i fi. rwy'n credu bod nhw dod o'r casgliad nicolas bennet yn wreiddiol. roedd martin a sille y cyntaf i addysgu gasgliad enfawr o alawon dawns cymreig i fi pan symudais i Gymru.
